CREST
CREST, Corporation for Re-Employment and Safety Training, is a 501-(c)(5) non-profit organization sponsored by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) designed to provide job re-entry and safety training services. On January 9, 2012 a Safety Fair was held at the Marine Corps Air Station known as Cherry Point near Havelock, North Carolina.
This week IAM C.R.E.S.T. is providing classroom and hands-on-training on Accident / Incident and Near Miss and other Safety & Health topics to both labor unions and management safety members at the MillerCoors Brewery facility.
During the week of Sept. 26-30, 2011, I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T Associate DOT Instructors participated in a Trainers Exchange held in Union Washington.
On September 9 -10, 2011, a class of 11 trainees from the Youth Transition to Work program completed an OSHA 10 hour Outreach Training session presented by IAM CREST at IAM District Lodge 15.
During the week of August 15 – 19, 2011, four I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T Associate Instructors from IAM Local Lodge 601, District 142 at Alaska Airlines in Anchorage Alaska, completed a Train the Trainer program that will help them to train others about the hazards of shipping dangerous goods in the airline industry.
During the week of July 18-22, 2011, eight I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T Instructors from United Airlines, completed a 40 hour Dangerous Goods Train-the-Trainer program designed specifically for the Airline Industry.
During the week of July 11-15, 2011, six I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T Instructors from United Airlines, completed a 40 hour Dangerous Goods Train-the-Trainer program designed specifically for the Airline Industry.
During the week of June 13-17, 2011, three members from IAM District Lodge 142 and Local Lodge 1979 at Hawaiian Airlines – AC Mechanic’s, completed the Hazardous Material AC/GSE Mechanic’s Awareness Training Train-the-Trainer Course at Local Lodge 1979 located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
During the week of April 11–15, 2011, four I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T Instructors from United Airlines, completed a 40 hour Dangerous Goods Train-the-Trainer program designed specifically for the Airline Industry.
During the week of March 6-1, 2011, twelve members from IAM District Lodge 141, ten from Local Lodge 1487 Chicago O’Hare and two from Local Lodge 1351 Seattle working at United Airlines, completed the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials 40-Hour Hazardous Material Instructor Train-The-Trainer Course held at Local Lodge 1487 located in Chicago, Illinois.
During the week of February 14–18, 2011, two trainers from United Airlines, and 4 from Hawaiian Airlines Operations completed a 40 hour Dangerous Goods Train-the-Train program designed specifically for the Airline Industry.
During the week of January 17 – 21, 2011, District Lodge Representatives Anthony D’Aloiso and Rich Howell participated in a Module Development Workshop for training materials to be used in an awareness training program through a grant awarded IAM CREST by the Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to Hazardous Material Workers.
During this December 15th and 16th session, I.A.M. C.R.E.S.T provided classroom and hands-on training on a Two-Day Supervisor and Union Representatives Review of Setting Up a Joint Labor/Management Safety and Health Committee and thier Written Plan.

During the week of November 14-19, 2010, 18 members from in IAM District Lodges 141, 142 and 143 and 7 IAM CREST Staff attended a two Part HMIT Trainers’ Exchange and Workshop held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the week of November 1-5, 2010, three members from IAM District Lodge 142 and Local Lodge 1979 at Hawaiian Airlines – AC/GSE Mechanic’s, completed developing the Hazardous Material AC/GSE Mechanic’s Awareness Training Course Modules at Local Lodge 1979 located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
During the week of November 1-5, 2010, five members from IAM District Lodge 141 at Hawaiian Airlines – Operations, completed the Hazardous Material Awareness Training Train-the-Trainer Course at Local Lodge 1979 located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
