Buffenbarger Named to Labor-Management Hall of Fame

The 2010 Texas Labor-Management Conference, held in San Antonio, TX, inducted IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger into their Hall of Fame for his groundbreaking work in fostering better labor-management relations.

“Tom Buffenbarger has been on the cutting edge of better labor-management relations for years, starting with the HPWO (High Performance Work Organization) programs to pushing for contracts that include innovative language to protect our members’ jobs,” said Southern Territory GVP Bob Martinez, who praised the Texas Conference for their role in fostering better labor relations in the state of Texas. “The IAM has been very supportive of this conference, which continues to be a driving force in the field of better labor-management relations.”

Buffenbarger joins the late Southern Territory GVP George Hooper and retired District 776 DBR Pat Lane in the Texas Hall of Fame.
