Officials in Burlington, VT have adopted a resolution that the city will not give service contracts to contractors, subcontractors and vendors who are not performing that work in the United States or Canada.
City lawmakers said the measure was passed to try to put a stop to corporations sending jobs overseas and protect workers in Vermont, which has lost 10,000 manufacturing jobs over the past decade.
