Chicago O’Hare International Airport Pilot Hazardous Material Awareness Training for the Airline Industry

This week IAM CR.ST Associate Instructors for the Airline Industry from District Lodge 141 provided Hazardous Material Awareness classes for 46 IAM members, supervisors and managers of United Airlines at O’Hare International Airport. The classes were developed by IAM CREST to enhance the current training provided by United Airlines for workers who handle dangerous goods by air under a grant funded by the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration.

These classes are the second of five Pilot Programs that will be delivered to United Airlines that address the importance of identifying dangerous goods, their hazards and proper handling procedures.
