This week IAM CREST provided a 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Standards Course to Educational Representatives / Instructors from the TCU/IAM Advanced Training Programs. The course is designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the workplace. Topics covered are rights and responsibilities under the OSH Act, the appeals process, recordkeeping, reading OSHA standards, walking working surfaces, exit routes and fire prevention, hazard communication, basic electrical safety, selecting personal protective equipment and chemical protective clothing. Upon completion of this course, students received a 10-hour OSHA Outreach Completion Card issued by the Department of Labor and a Completion Certificate from IAM CREST.
