Labor and Allies Launch “Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network” to Support Fired Federal Workers

The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) has announced the launch of the “Rise Up: Federal Workers Legal Defense Network.” This collaborative initiative, developed in partnership with the AFL-CIO, We The Action, Democracy Forward, AFGE, ACS, NTEU, Partnership for Public Service, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and other organizations, aims to provide free and direct legal support to federal workers who have been unjustly terminated or mistreated during the Trump administration.

In light of the significant challenges faced by many federal employees, the Rise Up network seeks to ensure that those who have been wrongfully terminated, as well as current workers concerned about their employment rights, have access to essential legal resources and support.

“It is critical that federal workers have access to legal recourse as the Trump administration threatens and unlawfully terminates hundreds of thousands of proud civil servants,” said NFFE-IAM National President Randy Erwin. “We are incredibly grateful for the attorneys and allies in our communities who stand with federal workers delivering essential services to the American people.”

The Rise Up initiative represents a strong commitment to protecting the rights of federal workers and ensuring that they receive the justice they deserve. By connecting them with legal resources, the network aims to help restore dignity and support to those who have dedicated their careers to public service.
