    National Train Day is approaching on May 9, 2009. Amtrak would like to honor the Pullman Porters who as a part of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters merged with TCU in 1978. The Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, under the leadership of A. Philip Randolph, laid the groundwork for the American Civil Rights movement.
