Delta Workers, Labor and Community Allies Will Hold Rally to Push for Union Representation at Delta Air Lines  

Delta workers, labor, and community allies will rally to push for union representation at Delta Air Lines. The rally will be held at the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation headquarters on Saturday, April 15, at 4 p.m. CT. Late last year, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA), and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) announced a coordinated campaign to support the people of Delta Air Lines who are working to organize their unions. 

The rally will feature remarks from Delta workers from Minneapolis, St. Paul, Atlanta, Detroit, and New York City. Labor leaders and workers from Amazon and Starbucks will also speak at the rally. 

Delta is the only U.S.-based mainline carrier where a union does not represent flight attendants, fleet service, and mechanics – only 20 percent of Delta workers are unionized. Delta produced nearly double the profits of other U.S. airlines in pre-pandemic years, and the airline is on a path to record profitability again. Delta workers are ready to secure a union and a contract to keep their share of the profits they create in the communities where they live and work.
