The Connecticut State Council met in Groton, Connecticut June 24-26, 2006. In attendance were 42 delegates including General Vice President Lynn D. Tucker, Grand Lodge Representatives James D. Smith and Bill Rudis, and Director of Legislative & Political Action Tom Trotter. Guest speakers included U.S. Senate Candidate Ned Lamont, 2nd Congressional District Candidate Representative Joe Courtney, Connecticut AFL-CIO President John Olson, Grow Jobs CT Director John Harrity and 30th Assembly District Representative Joe Aresimowicz.

I am proud to report the Connecticut delegation raised $1,100.00 for MNPL at this conference. With the diligent work of the Connecticut State Council, we will continue to support candidates who fight for working families.

On behalf of the Eastern Territory, I extend our appreciation for a job well done. Special thanks to long time Connecticut State Council President and District Lodge 26 Assistant Directing Business Representative James Parent.
