Union Plus released this flyer about the help they provide for union members impacted by hurricane Harvey.
Here are more resources and programs available to TCU/IAM members impacted by Hurricane Harvey in southeastern Texas.
1. A $500 Disaster Relief Grant from Union Plus
To qualify for the $500 disaster relief grant, eligible members must participate in one of the following Union Plus programs: Credit Card, Life/AD&D Insurance, Auto Insurance, or Mortgage and reside in one of the FEMA designated counties: Aransas, Bee, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Harris, Jackson, Kleberg, Liberty, Matagorda, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria and Wharton. Union Plus will continue to update their website as additional counties are added.

2. Fee Waivers and credits from AT&T for wireless customers
AT&T will waive fees, and issue credits to their wireless customers in affected areas for additional data, voice and text charges. Learn more at the AT&T newsroom website at http://about.att.com/category/all_news.html.
3. Free Emotional Support from Optum
Optum is offering a free emotional support helpline to any individuals impacted. The helpline will provide those affected access to specially trained mental health specialists. The company’s public toll-free helpline number: 866-342-6892, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for as long as necessary. This service is free of charge and open to anyone. Optum mental health specialists will help people manage their stress and anxiety as they continue to address their everyday needs. Callers may also receive referrals to community resources to assist them with specific concerns, including financial and legal matters.

Also, those affected members who do not qualify for the disaster relief grant may be eligible for other federal aid programs through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Members should visit www.fema.gov/disasters for further information.
