The Machinists Union applauds United Airlines’ announcement that the carrier plans to hire over 25,000 airline workers and purchase 200 737 MAX airplanes by 2026. The “United Next” plan includes the addition of 270 total airplanes as well as plans to retrofit 100 percent of remaining mainline, narrow-body fleet.
