    Boeing Launches New Competition in South Carolina

    IAM members of District 751 helped perfect a production line at the Interiors Responsibility Center (IRC) in Everett, WA (above). Boeing is now planning to build a duplicate facility in South Carolina. The Boeing Co. claims it will create at least 150 new jobs somewhere in South Carolina when it opens a parts fabrication plant

    Machinists Rally at AutoNation Shareholders Meeting

    As shareholders of AutoNation, Inc. gathered this week for their annual meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Machinists union members rallied to protest the company’s refusal to recognize the IAM after being elected to represent the auto mechanics at an AutoNation dealership in Orlando. IAM representatives, joined by a former Auto Technician at AutoNation’s Mercedes-Benz of  Orlando, attended the shareholder meeting.
